EQUAL Community Initiative in Ireland

EQUAL is one of four Community Initiatives co-financed by the European Union (2000 – 2007).

The programme is co-funded through the European Social Fund (ESF) and will operate between 2001 and end 2007, with a total ESF budget for Ireland of 34million euro.

EQUAL seeks to identify and address fundamental forms of discrimination and inequality in the labour market through the development of new and innovative policies and practices initiated by EQUAL Development Partnerships.

You can access files and documents from EQUAL Round 1 (2001-2005)

IdeasBank - www.ideasbank-equal.info - has been developed to act as a "virtual innovation centre", a space where research, innovative tools and practices are housed. This accessible centre provides policy makers and practioners with a range of workable options in terms of responding to real challenges whether that be in terms of developing HR practice to accommodate a diverse workforce or gaining an understanding of how to develop and formalize real interagency co-operation.
